On April 28, 2019, Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge improved his own marathon world record and won the London marathon in 2 h 2 min 37 seconds ahead of Mosinet Geremew and Mule Wasihun. Dbecoming the first man to win this event four times. Though he couldn't beat his own world record based in Berlin in 2018 (2 h 01 min 39 s), this performance remains the Second best in history
